The theme of this year’s Diocesan Family Day is: “Living the gift of baptism – a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation”.
Bishop Declan is inviting our diocesan community to come together on Saturday 1 July for a day’s gathering and formation centred around living the gift of our baptism. Pope Francis reminds us that the new evangelisation calls for the personal involvement of all the baptised and so this day brings us together in the hope of sending us back renewed and refreshed. Most of all, the day seeks to celebrate what it means to be the family of our diocese.
The day will include formation for existing and new Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion through a series of workshops. Ministers of Holy Communion are invited to join Bishop Declan and refresh their awareness of their ministry at Mass. Please contact Doreen Wyatt (0117 902 5595)
There will be activities and workshops for all ages, as well as stands and displays from numerous organisations active in the Diocese.
The Familly Day will conclude with Mass at 4.00pm
