Visitors to Mass at St Patrick’s often remark on how friendly, personal and welcoming our Parish is. But although Mass is the focus of our parish life, there is more to us than just regular weekend worship. There has to be, because the message of Christianity is about living as a community and serving each other.
You may be an active member of the parish, but it’s also possible that your involvement in the life of St. Patrick’s so far has been limited to attendance at Mass, perhaps just at those times of the year when we prepare for and celebrate the major Christian festivals of Christmas and Easter.
As a parishioner, whether regular or irregular, we want this web-site to attract you and draw you closer into the life of our parish community. We want to do this by keeping you up-to-date with everything that is going on and encouraging you to join some of the activities which take place outside Mass.
- If you need basic information about upcoming events then do check out our Mass times and the regular weekly bulletin. If you didn’t get a copy of the bulletin at the weekend for whatever reason, we will always have a current copy for you to read on the web-site.
- You might be interested to see how you have made a difference to the world, as a result of your contribution to the parish’s Kabazi Project in 2004.
- If you would like to deepen your faith, then why not take a look at the section of our site which deals with Developing Our Spirituality. You might then like to follow the faith journeys of some of the people you sit next to at Mass each week.
- Our links page consists of many useful sites, easily categorised, to help you find what you are looking for.
- If you would like to get more involved in the practical activities of the church, then please read the Parish Activities section, where you will also be able to find up-to-date e-mail contacts for each activity.
- In particular, we hope you will be interested in helping us to develop a greater sense of community at St. Patrick’s by using and contributing to the web-site, our parish project for 2005.
